Begin with eligibility
Check the vendor’s supported indications, input requirements and current software compatibility. 3Shape describes Automate as an AI design offering and separately offers human Design Service workflows. Product eligibility changes; consult the original documentation rather than generalizing from an older demonstration.
A proposal is a reviewable starting point
Evaluate the output against the actual prescription, records, material and laboratory settings. Automated anatomy does not resolve an unidentified component, missing record or conflicting instruction. A designer should flag those uncertainties rather than polishing a plausible-looking surface.
Use a meaningful exception rule
Decide what triggers manual review or a different workflow: unclear boundaries, reference-driven aesthetic changes, component ambiguity or an indication outside the supported process. Do not route a case through automation solely because it fits an available upload field.
Measure the result after review
Compare total time, including preparation, correction, checking and import. Track why a proposal was rejected. Fast generation is only one stage of the laboratory handoff and should not be confused with a production-ready case.
Ask a service how it reviews work
Request a description of responsibility and exception handling. Pristine’s design brief and QC expectations are agreed for each case; this page does not claim that every Pristine case runs through AI or a specific vendor product.
