3Shape

Dental System warning documented November 8, 2023; subscription, library option and Server/Client points require local validation.

Validation status

Locally unverified · Louie validation pending

No fix was reproduced on Pristine’s installed software. Documentation checked October 6, 2026.

First check: exact message and last saved state

If the exact save-permission warning appears, tell the administrator the indication, selected library and last verified saved revision. Ask them to check entitlement and, if applicable, client points. Preserve the working session while its state is uncertain; an on-screen design is not proof that a current deliverable was saved. Verify the actual saved output after the authorized retry.

Recognize the specific save warning

This guide applies to the documented message “Current dongle configuration doesn't allow to save the design.” Capture the exact non-patient error and operation. A generic failure to save can have another cause; do not diagnose it from this title alone.

3Shape's article says designing may remain possible while saving and CAM generation are blocked. An on-screen design therefore does not establish that a durable current output exists. Record the saved state that can actually be verified and communicate any uncertainty before closing a working session.

What the vendor asks you to check

The November 2023 article identifies missing subscription/module or library options and a dongle configuration that has not reflected a license change. It describes checking Subscription Management (Dongle) and, in Server/Client setups, Client Points in use versus available.

The documented route assigns missing-option questions to the reseller/library provider and recent configuration updates to 3Shape Support. This page does not assert a new license is always needed, give a price or guarantee that those controls match every installed release.

Diagnostic sequence

Record the product release, intended indication and selected library. Ask the administrator to compare the required entitlement with the actual subscription/module state; capture non-sensitive observations rather than posting license identifiers publicly.

For a shared setup, have the administrator investigate concurrent usage with the affected users. Coordinate any vendor-guided release of an unused indication; do not end an active design session to free capacity blindly. Request supplier verification when a permission or updated configuration is uncertain.

Diagnostic sequence — original worksheet
CheckEvidence or next decision
WarningExact text, failed step and last verified saved revision.
EntitlementRequired indication/module/library versus observed enabled option.
Shared useApplicable Server/Client arrangement and observed points, if relevant.
ResolutionAdmin/support response; authorized retry; verified saved output.

A useful support note and handoff hold

Hypothetical note: “Dental System test setup B cannot save the permitted exercise at the final step. The warning matches the cited article. The administrator is checking the module and shared-use state; no replacement manufacturing file is available yet.”

After the authorized resolution, verify the actual saved design and requested output rather than reporting only that the dialog disappeared. If the warning differs, keep the exact text and use the relevant official support route. A licensing correction is not approval of the design or its production parameters.

Limitations and Louie validation

Louie validation pending — unverified locally. Louie and the administrator must reproduce the warning, check subscription and client-point observations, and validate the vendor-authorized resolution in the actual installation. Do not terminate another person's active work or alter licensing without its responsible administrator.

Use internal references in the blank worksheet. Examples are hypothetical; applicable instructions and responsible approvals govern real work.
