SOFTWARE WORKFLOWS

exocad Dental Design Services

A shared software name is only the start of a usable CAD handoff. Confirm the version, modules, libraries and receiving production process before outsourcing an exocad case.

Start with the receiving environment

Tell the designer which DentalCAD version your lab uses, which indication is needed and whether you expect a native project, manufacturing mesh or both. A mesh may be useful for manufacture without retaining the editable decisions of the originating case. Test the agreed output in your actual receiving workflow.

Match modules to the indication

exocad describes separate Implant and Full Denture modules. Module availability, libraries and case requirements matter when scoping implant and removable work. A routine crown workflow should not be used as proof that every indication is supported. Pristine confirms the specific workflow before accepting a case.

Document the lab preferences

Provide the prescription, material and approved contact, occlusion and production settings. Share an approved reference design if you have one. Separate ordinary lab defaults from case-specific exceptions so a designer can reproduce the expected result without guessing.

Make the first case a compatibility test

Review the output for import, orientation, component assignments and the intended production route. Check revision handling as well as appearance. Record accepted preferences after your team approves the test case; update that record when materials, software or libraries change.

What Pristine can discuss

Pristine supports exocad restorative design workflows with scope, quote, target and revision terms agreed before work starts. Send the indication and software details first. Software names describe compatibility discussions and do not imply official affiliation or certification.

Choose a deliverable before design starts

Use this receiving-team decision sheet during onboarding. It records the handoff you need; it does not establish that a file is compatible simply because it opens.
