SOFTWARE WORKFLOWS

CEREC / Sirona Remote CAD Workflows

Chairside and laboratory digital workflows can require different transfer and export steps. Before sending a CEREC or Sirona-originating case, confirm what data can actually be exported and what the receiving lab needs.

Identify the source application

Supply the software name and version, scanner workflow and intended restoration. Distinguish scan data from an existing restoration design. Export permissions and formats can vary by application and license; the presence of a scanner does not guarantee that every file can be transferred or edited externally.

Choose a supported handoff

Dentsply Sirona describes chairside and laboratory design products, including inLab workflows with STL support. Confirm the current documentation for your setup and test the receiving route. Do not assume that a proprietary case container can be opened in another CAD system or that a mesh preserves all editable information.

Add the missing case context

Pair exports with the prescription, upper and lower records, bite and material requirements. If the lab needs a reference restoration, identify it separately from the source scan. Annotate the intended teeth and changes rather than relying on filenames to communicate the treatment brief.

Validate before a scheduled case

Use a representative sample to confirm import and output format before promising an appointment-dependent production slot. If conversion is required, the lab should confirm who performs it and whether information is lost.

Discuss scope with Pristine

Pristine can assess supported CEREC/Sirona-type case handoffs from the actual files and receiving production requirements. Support is confirmed case by case; no official software partnership or universal export compatibility is implied.

DS Core transfer context

Dentsply Sirona announced the replacement of Connect Case Center by DS Core in most countries. Confirm the current regional account route and available case exports before relying on legacy Connect instructions. This is product context, not a claim that Pristine operates a DS Core integration.

Use the CEREC-originating DS Core handoff questions to distinguish platform access, actual records and receiving acceptance. Consult the linked vendor sources for current account requirements.
