A screenshot is most useful when it accompanies a clear question, a known revision and the record needed to interpret it. This original evidence-packet framework helps teams organize review without presenting a static image as complete technical verification.
Start with the decision
Write one question per issue. “Please check the case” transfers the work of discovering the concern to the reviewer. Instead, identify the element, the observed uncertainty and the decision needed. Avoid describing an unconfirmed interpretation as a defect.
Choose the evidence after writing the question. A view that shows the marked region may explain the concern, while the native project or source record may still be required to assess it. State which information is included and which is unavailable.

Illustrative question pair
Weak: “Occlusion looks wrong.” More usable: “On R04, view V02 marks the region requiring review against the supplied relationship record. Please confirm the intended reference before we continue.” This is a communication example, not a diagnostic conclusion or a clinical adjustment instruction.
If two records conflict, show both with their identifiers and ask which governs the design question. Do not merge the conflict into an apparently settled screenshot. Keep annotations separate from unmarked evidence so the reviewer can inspect the underlying view.
Choose enough views, then stop
Use an overview for location and a focused view for the issue. Add another view only if it answers a different part of the decision. Repeated angles without a purpose increase review effort without resolving uncertainty.
Do not use cropped or shaded images to imply that all relevant geometry, measurements or relationships have been checked. Where a decision needs interactive inspection, request that review explicitly. Avoid patient names and identifying screenshots; follow the agreed authorized case-transfer process for necessary records.
Return a traceable answer
Ask the reviewer to reference the question and view identifiers. Capture the decision in the case record and translate it into a revision brief. If a new concern emerges, create a new issue instead of silently changing the meaning of the original question.
A complete packet is not a release authorization. It is a way to connect evidence, questions and responses. Release remains a separate agreed checkpoint.

Choose the view after writing the decision question. Use an overview to locate the concern, a sectional view to expose an obscured relationship and measurement markers for a specific geometric comparison. Record clipping and display state so hidden geometry is not mistaken for missing data.
Use one evidence role per view
A screenshot records the displayed scene, including what was hidden or clipped. A sectional display exposes a selected slice; it is not automatically a whole-volume inspection.

Action and evidence
Where is the concern?
Overview with marked location and current revision.
Which surfaces relate behind the visible exterior?
Section with identified objects, plane orientation/location and clipping state.
What distance was measured?
View showing tool mode, start/target markers and reported units.
Does the receiver have the complete artifact?
Use the agreed file/package check; a cropped view cannot answer this.
Example: an apparently missing surface
Hypothetical view V03 shows only part of a restoration after a section tool was used. Before reporting missing geometry, the reviewer asks whether clipping remains active. exocad documents that closing Sectional View can leave cut planes active; the installed workflow must confirm that state.
Keep V03 as evidence of the question. Add V04 with the display state made explicit and the same design revision. If the surface is still absent after a provider-verified display check, open a separate data-integrity question; do not silently replace the original evidence.
Return an answer tied to the view
A usable reply says: Q04 concerns objects A/B in revision R05; V04 uses the stated section plane; the shown relationship resolves this question, or needs the following additional inspection. Avoid saying the entire design passes because one slice looks acceptable.
Next step: retain the overview and focused evidence together, then route any geometry change through the existing revision brief. Do not add five similar angles when one additional measurement or interactive inspection answers the missing question.
Validation and limits
Louie validation pending — unverified locally. Louie must verify installed sectional-display persistence and the agreed view/marker fields for Pristine review packets. Screenshots and sections do not establish full-file integrity or clinical approval; no approved case screenshot added.
Use internal references in the blank worksheet. Examples are hypothetical; applicable instructions and responsible approvals govern real work.
