LAB WORKFLOWS & BUYER GUIDANCE

A Scan-Quality Acceptance Worksheet for CAD Intake

Separate file receipt, visible record observations and authorization to continue design.

Inspect without inventing a tolerance

3Shape documents holes, gaps, cracks and untrimmed areas as potential scan issues and describes a Refine Scans workflow. Tool availability and applicability depend on the documented workflow. A repair function does not establish that missing clinical information has been recovered.

This worksheet deliberately provides no universal micron threshold or automatic acceptance rule. Ask what the observation affects in this case and who has authority to resolve it. Preserve source files before any authorized edit; compare the new revision rather than overwriting evidence.

Attach a permitted annotated view when it communicates the observation more clearly. Remove patient identifiers from teaching or public material. Do not turn a screenshot into evidence of anatomical truth or an implied approval.

Write a useful clarification request

Illustrative request: On revision R2, the working record shows an interrupted surface in the area marked in view A. Please confirm whether another original record is available and which revision should govern this design stage. The affected decision remains held.

After a reply, record the answer, replacement-file identity and affected design decisions. Recheck the receiving stage on the replacement package. A successful import is a separate checkpoint from acceptance for design, and acceptance for a design task is separate from manufacturing release.

Review boundary

Technical review pending — unverified locally. Unverified locally: Louie must validate terminology, actual workflow dependencies and practice-case applicability. Source review is not software or clinical validation.

Use these worksheets to make uncertainty visible. They do not authorize a clinical decision, repair, production release or unsupported software configuration. Preserve original records and record who approved each change.
